It all started with a swipe in 2025. What began as a simple match on Hinge quickly turned into something neither of us expected—endless conversations, effortless laughter, and a connection that felt like home from the very beginning.

When we met for our first date, we were both a little nervous—but it didn’t take long for that to fade. From the start, we could truly be ourselves with each other, and by the end of the night, we both knew this was something special.

Over the months that followed, our relationship grew stronger with every shared moment. We spent countless hours talking, laughing, and learning each other’s hearts. Somehow, even as we discovered new things about one another, it always felt like we had known each other forever.

As for the proposal—let’s just say there were suspicions. For about a month, one of us was convinced it was coming any day and may or may not have searched the house for the ring (unsuccessfully, thanks to some very impressive secrecy).

He had it all planned perfectly. Under the guise of a photo session with our dog, Remi, he had secretly arranged for a photographer to capture the moment. In the middle of the shoot, we stood back-to-back and were told to turn around on the count of three. When we did, he was down on one knee, asking the question that would change everything.

There were tears (from both of us), lots of laughter, and of course, Remi made sure to wiggle her way right into the middle of it all—exactly where she belongs.

The answer was the easiest one of all: yes.
